Mission Briefing: The Shepherd’s Code
Location: Basque Country, Northern Spain
Agents Assigned: Grant Colson, Luis Fontaine
Operation Status: Concluded
While awaiting clearance on a separate assignment, SERA agents received a regional request tied to the Franco regime. A journal had surfaced—buried for decades—said to contain firsthand accounts of politically motivated purges and executions.
The task was accepted as a secondary objective. Initial contact was made through a local family with generational ties to the artifact. Upon investigation, agents encountered signs of prior intrusion and growing interest from unknown parties.
The recovery effort led into isolated terrain and deeper than expected. What was meant to be a routine historical retrieval quickly turned into a high-risk extraction from beneath the earth itself. The journal was secured and transferred for off-site evaluation.
